How to reconstitute the Dry Syrup:
Before using Dr.Vasishth’s Locid Dry Syrup, you need to reconstitute them as follows –
1. Boil a glass of potable water in a clean pan;
2. Open the cap of the bottle and break open the seal;
3. Pour boiling water from the pan into the bottle up to the 100 ml mark (upper border of the Sticker Label on the bottle) and close the bottle with the cap;
4. Shake the bottle well and let it cool to the room temperature;
5. Administer the prescribed dose of the Reconstituted Syrup with the measuring cup.
6. Use the Reconstituted Syrup within 7 days.
Available as:
Bottle containing 10 gm dry powder.
Dosage Schedule:
Reconstituted Dr.Vasishth’s Locid Dry Syrup should be prescribed to the children on the basis of the body weight and severity of the infections, as below –
Infants: 1.25 – 2.5 ml, 3-6 hourly;
Children 1-3 yrs: 2.5 – 5 ml, 3-6 hourly;
Children 4-6 yrs: 5 – 10 ml, 3-6 hourly;
Children 7-9 yrs: 10 - 20 ml, 3-6 hourly
On improvement, taper off the dose.
